I Beat Blacks!

Well, I don't personally, but for you racist-types out there (KKK types in TN perhaps), if you ever wanted to beat blacks, now you can, and it's 100% legal thanks to this new Mp3 Player - the I.Beat blaxx.

That's right, some genius marketing types named an Mp3 player the "i.beat" and then proceeded to call the black version of the product blaxx. But here's the crazy part - this product name made it past the Advertising company, the in-house marketing team, and presumably the CEO of the company.

Hopefully they'll come out with an I.Beat Whitey soon.

The big question is however, how do you turn your I.Beat Off?

On Social-Networking

I finally realized why I don't really get or understand social-networking. And the reason is this - at heart, I'm anti-social. Now, I'm not your textbook anti-socialite. I'll talk to someone, heck, I'll talk to anyone. And I can be loud and obnoxious. But when I'm in an environment with A LOT of people, I completely shut down. If I'm in a room with like 20+ people, I usually end up walking around trying to look busy until the event ends.

Enter online Social-Networking - lots of people, and always on. I guess there's just too much for me to focus on. Too many people - something like this. I don't know. Doesn't make sense really. Maybe it does.

SPP - Montebello Protestors avoid Riots

This week in Montebello, in Canada, there was yet another summit regarding the SPP and the formation of the North American Union. Click here to read my previous post on this.

Here's what happened.
There's a peaceful protest going on, when 3 masked guys show up and try to turn things violent. They are promptly confronted by the protestors and told not instigate violence. One guy even has a large rock and is ready to throw it. The guys are eventually cornered between the protestors and the riot police. Because they refuse to stand down or remove their masks, the people start accusing them of being under cover police agents. At this accusation, the masked men jump in behind the police line and are promptly taken into custody (curious how those wanting to fight the police go to the police to getaway instead of just leaving the rally). But there's one small problem.

While on the ground and being cuffed, a photo was taken that shows the police officer and one of the men wearing the same boots, with the same yellow triangle located on the sole. Very suspicious. So watch the video and read the article above. There's isn't a smoking gun here, but there's a lot of circumstantial evidence that shows that the government/police was willing to start a riot so they could have an excuse to shut it down.

Dude, this is gross!

An article about a guy in Germany who had his own "zoo" of insects and reptiles. He was bitten by a Black Widow, died, and then all his snakes and spiders and reptiles proceeded to eat him for a 1-2 week period.

“Giant webs draped him, spiders were all over him. They were coming out of his nose and his mouth." AND “Larger pieces of flesh torn off by the lizards were scooped up and taken back to the webs of tarantulas and other bird-eating spiders.”

200 spiders, lizards, snakes, termites, and poison frogs took care of his body.

Like I said, Gross!

NASA Climate Estimates suffer from Y2K bug

That's right.
A team went through and examined the climate records and noticed an odd "jump" in statistics starting January 2000. What does this mean? Well, the hottest year on record WAS NOT 1998, it was 1934. 1998 is now in 2nd place with 1921 taking 3rd place. In fact, the record now shows that 5 of the 10 warmest years took place BEFORE World War II.

As the article points out, if the Media decides to actually cover this news, it could be quite a blow to the doom and gloomers.

David Elsewhere - OMG, this guy is Awesome!!

The first time I saw this guy, unknowingly, was a couple years ago when he did the VW Golf Ad with him as Gene Kelly Singin' in the Rain. The music remix, technology and dance moves made it one of the coolest things I had ever seen.

Turns out, it was David Elsewhere. He's also done a bunch of advertising, most well known as the dancer in the iPod ads. Make that seemingly ALL the iPod ads.

Check it out. I mean, you've not seen this before, definitely watch this guy move. Unlike anything you've ever seen. After that, YouTube him and see all kinds of good stuff.

Guy whittles down (ie., surgically alters) his thumbs for improved iPhone usage

That's the story according to Gizmodo. A guy's hands were too large to fumble with modern-day portable devices (why'd I write modern-day? like there were OLD-day PDA's?), so he's sees a plastic surgeon who whittles down the size of his thumbs for better access.

Yikes.

I can totally relate though. I've got big ol' mitts, and these little devices can be tough to use. That said, I'd rather have giant man hands than giant man hands with petite little thumbs.

It's like episode 3F05 of the Simpsons where Homer puts on a ton of weight so he can go on disability and work from home. There's an emergency and his big fingers can't hit the individual buttons:

OPERATOR: "The fingers you have used to dial are too fat. To obtain a special dialing wand, please mash the keypad with your palm...now."

Funny.

Death of Democracy

A new low standard set by the Democratic Congress.
A bill was being voted on to block Illegal Immigrants from receiving financial support from the Federal Government. And when the gavel fell, the bill had passed by a vote of 213-215. But then, the Democratic Majority didn't like the results, so they called it 214-214, and after some final tweaks, called the vote 216-212.

So even when the bill passes, the Democrats don't like the result, so they change it.

Now, the Democrats have apologized profusely about what happened. A huge misunderstanding, it was unfair what we did, etc. AND YET, they are unwilling to discuss the specifics OR change their new result.

Our country is a mess. With the executive branch giving itself new powers, and the Democratic congress accomplishing NOTHING, people are fed up with the government - one bent on keeping the money and power right where it is.

I know the Bush Administration has done A LOT of bad things, and they still are. However, I've NEVER seen anything like this where the Congress, ON CAMERA, changes the results of a vote. Outrageous!!

Ron Paul

I'm sure most of heard of Presidential Candidate Ron Paul. He's definitely the champion of many who feel our runaway government has stopped working for the people and begun working for itself.

There's a fantastic interview here from FOX. Definitely watch it. It really gives you a good understanding of his position on things. He's all about the Constitution, the people, lower taxes, less spending, etc.

A real breath of fresh air who is appealing to Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians all at the same time.
