I recently had the privilege of shooting M'Kenzi and Jordan's engagement portraits. It really is one of my favorite shoots in a long time, not only were Jordan and M'Kenzi so fun, and game for ANYthing I put out there, but the location was absolutely incredible. We shot at one of M'Kenzi's parents houses, where her sister is currently living, and it's up on the Soquel mountains, and has not only great old oak trees, horses, lots of land, a flower patch, but a cool old falling-down-looking barn. All GREAT places to shoot!! I think I say this a lot, but I really do love to get to shoot in new places, and this was no exception.
This was such a gorgeous location for a photo shoot, and I absolutely LOVE the photos we got. Here are just a *few* of my faves (although as you can see, I apparently have a LOT of faves). =) Not only are Jordan and M'Kenzi great looking, but they were fun and spontaneous, and up for anything I suggested, even suggesting fun ideas themselves. And the photos run the gamut, from romantic, to fun, to slightly sexy to really sweet. I can't wait for their wedding, as I'm sure their wedding will be equally fun and beautiful.
Also, as is typical for Santa Cruz in general, and especially Monte Vista alumni, we know a bunch of people in common, in fact, Jordan's sister Lisa Cilliberto (I don't know if I spelled that right) grew up with my sister Lindsey, and one of Jordan's best friends is Katie Gonzales, who is practically family (their family and ours grew up together). And it's always fun when we know people in common, I'm sure there will be a bunch of people at the wedding that I know.
Anyhow, Jordan and M'Kenzi, I loved shooting with you, and I really love how your shots turned out, thank you for being SO willing to do anything, the pictures reflect how much fun we were having (or at least, I was)...I hope you love them as much as I do!!
